Venetian Blind

Posted: February 9, 2011 in Poems

What goes on behind
The venetian blind
They do not wish us to share?

Is it something evil?
Will it cause upheaval?
Do they have the heart to care?

What goes on behind
The venetian blind
They don’t want us to doubt?

We want the truth to bleed
For we have the need
We want to know what it’s all about

What goes on behind
The venetian blind
The events of which never are shown

Whatever it is
Why must we quiz?
They have the right to be left alone.

Life’s Window

Posted: February 9, 2011 in Poems

He can criticise
He can chastise
He can bring you down
Bring tears to your eyes
Yet all the while
Through his cynical smile
He’s just looking out of life’s window

Looking out of life’s window
Waiting for the break of day
His hands on his head
He’s clinically dead
Just wasting his life away
Makes me want to say
Just let him waste away

He doesn’t achieve
For he doesn’t believe
He has no faith
For he can’t conceive

So Mister Gingerbread man
Catch me if you can
Can’t you see it’s all got out of hand?

Judgemental World

Posted: February 9, 2011 in Poems

It’s a judgemental world
And when your flag unfurls
People just laugh in your face

It’s a judgemental land
With money in the hand
That says you’re a waste of space

People rush around
Heads to the ground
The world slowly spins on axis

The world is changing
Now it is ranging
From fabrication and plastics

It’s a judgemental world
I’ve found me a girl
As false as Nixon’s promise

It’s a land of sham
With it’s mistruths and scams
And it’s endless judgements upon us

Keep In Touch With Yourself

Posted: January 19, 2011 in Poems

You are tired, you want to sleep
You start to cry, you start to weep
You cradle yourself in your arms and say
“Can I survive another day?”

You look for love yet feel it has died
You look back at all the tears you’ve cried
You feel alone with no guiding light
You sense that everyday is a fight

Yet with all the broken dreams you’ve had
It’ll make you happy and make you glad
To look back and see the beautiful view
Of the great personality inside of you

For then you’ll see a bright lit sky
You’ll no longer doubt no longer deny
The warm glowing light within your soul
That special beacon that can’t grow old

Diamond Ring

Posted: January 19, 2011 in Poems

Diamond ring shines so bright
Like a heavenly star on a blessed night
Band of gold, eternal prize
And it’s a soft sweet clear sunrise

Diamond ring, the song of love it sings
Satin flowers on her wedding veil
Band of gold the story of love is told
Bride and groom walk down the trail
Virgin bride with the handed down wedding dress
The man’s waiting down the isle
Soon they embrace
Shoot off into space both wearing a god blessed smile

Settle down, stoke the flame
Walk the beat and play the game
Walk on the beach, wade through the sand
Holding hearts as they’re holding hands

Aging mother, fraying apron strings
Grounded eagle with his broken wings
Daddy’s armchair needs a varnish
But this diamond ring will never tarnish

Love Poem

Posted: January 19, 2011 in Poems

Once my life was a desert, no sign of rain
I sat alone in depression and all I felt was pain
But now a feeling of passion is etched across my face
For now I have the comfort of your warm and soft embrace

Your guiding hand will lead me into a world of bliss
With the comfort of your words and the softness of your kiss
You’re everything in the world to me I hope you feel it too
For together we can conquer this world just me and you

So take me now my darling and hold me in your arms
Let me feel the magic of all your loving charms
And let me make this promise to all the stars above
To only you sweet angel I dedicate my love.

Another Broken Heart

Posted: October 17, 2010 in Poems

I have sent a Valentine’s card to myself this year
In an attempt to win back the heart she so viciously stole from me
But what use is a heart torn to shreds by a woman
Whose vindictive ways have now crippled my very soul

Yet I know this day in February is nothing more than a superficial day
Where those who prosper in breaking hearts raise their smug voices in victory
But are not all times a season where the tormented and lonely suffer the cruel wrath
From those who have found true love
